The Cart @ Bookworm Too – now open

We’re delighted to open another little Cart outlet(ette) with Bookworm Too – Bookworm’s second store.

With the new place just around the corner from The Cart’s Nghi Tam cafe we were honoured to be asked if we’d work with them to provide food for their customers. Basically there’s a Cart hotline in place where you can order food for immediate delivery and you can enjoy a sandwich, juice, coffee, cake or pie on their comfy chairs among the books.

What’s great for us is to be working with such a longtime expat business like Bookworm. I’m just back from their opening do and  steady procession of people were arriving to check out the new place.

My current job situation means our futures are a little up in the air right now – but ,however it works itself out, The Cart will remain.

Our home is halfway between The Cart Nghi Tam and Bookworm Too and when my Mum and Dad visit us in a couple of weeks I know they’ll be delighted that we now have a English language bookshop around the corner.

Today it opened with a strings, white wine and finger food from The Cart.  Marvellously a genuine Cornish person praised our Cornish pasties.

From a pure business point of view I’ve no idea whether Bookworm’s readers will also be eaters and drinkers, but either way, we’re just very happy to be part of it.  Thanks for the invite.

By the way, I literally just left there.  There’s still plenty of wine and beer. Cornish pasties were running low but still plenty of sausage rolls, chocolate zucchini bread and carrot cake.  Music till five, everything else open till six.

  1. Mosh says:

    Damn, I miss Hanoi :(

  2. It’s still a wonderful place. I almost left it, down to the last handful of applicants for a senior comms job in Malaysia. In the end I got offered a new job here on the day I was turned down for the other. Now I feel like I am settling back into it all – happy to be here.
