Pre-beer butty
Okay so I left work around 40 minutes ago wondering what I’d eat for dinner.
About 35 minutes ago I spotted a new sandwich lady that on previous occasions I must have scooted right past.
The egg butty is a constant but this one looked like…could that be grilled pork?
It was.
Pork cubes on skewers. Skewers in the bread. Bread gripped. Skewers pulled out. Pork remains.
Cucumber is added and chili sauce too.
So..25 minutes ago I got in and 20 minutes ago I took the pic (bit naff – no natural light)
Some 15 minutes ago I started eating it and 14 minutes ago I’d finished.
Beautiful it was. More barbecue than spicy tasting. The cucumber slightly pickled. Nice smokey meat.
Tonight I’m off out to meet the good people of VSO Vietnam.
Stomach suitably lined. And 50 pence well spent.
In the pub in half an hour.
